If you have the skills, talents, and desire to teach online, then LearningBurg is the perfect opportunity for you to seek independent online work. LearningBurg is designed with you in mind.
One of the criteria for hiring people as tutors is that they are a current or former teacher or graduate student in an accredited educational institution in the United States or Canada. LearningBurg will provide a number of technologies with which to tutor your students effectively: virtual whiteboard, synchronous video chatting, text chat, audio chat, etc.
All the people employed as tutors need to be validated by LearningBurg before being hired. LearningBurg’ validation process includes examining the submitted educational credentials and employment status of the applicants. An interview with LearningBurg and a background check may also be required.
Before the candidate has been approved by LearningBurg and becomes part of our team, the potential tutor logs in and creates a profile. The profile will reflect the candidate’s educational credentials, professional experience, etc. A tutor can only teach subjects in which he or she has expertise or is certified to teach. For example, if the tutor is currently teaching math at a middle school, then the tutor cannot teach Physics in this application.
The tutor can decide to teach free, one-on-one sessions. Once the students have signed up for the session, the tutor logs in during that session's scheduled time and tutors/teaches the topic.
Payment will be made on the last day of each month for work completed by the 15th of that month. Courses taught/completed after the 15th will be on the following month's paycheck. Tutors will be eligible for 70% of the total fees.
All Tutors must have access to the internet and audio-visual capabilities on their computer.

You will not be paid if you cancel within six hours of the session start or after it has started.

Which time zone does the application follow?
We follow the Eastern Standard Time (EST). Therefore, all the lessons scheduled will be based on EST.
